Patient Partners

Building on the success of the mental health ambassadors programme developed by Healthwatch Essex to support the pan-Essex mental health strategy, the Partnership is working with all three Healthwatch organisations in its footprint to launch a patient partners programme.

Currently the programme has recruited patient partners with recent lived experience of services who are supporting the Partnership’s cancer and maternity work streams.

These groups, chaired by patient leaders are already successfully providing advice, guidance and challenge to inform transformation programmes
